I grew up in Southern West Virginia, in troop 6, in Beckley, WV, in the now merged, Appalachian Council. I became a member
of Hytone Lodge 416 in the spring of 1972. I became a Vigil Honor member in 1976. I am now a member of Takhonek 617. The lodge
is a merger of Hytone 416, Adjudimo 210, and Wachu Menetopolis 475, Thal-Coo-Zyo 457 and Nendawin 618. I was Hytone lodge
chief in 1976. At the 1976 EC-6B conclave I was elected to serve as section chief. I have attended and served on the staff
of several NOACs and many Jamborees. I will be attending the 2020 NOAC.I served on the Staff of the 2019 World Jamboree as
the lead for off site activities for IST. I really got into trading at the 1977 Pre-NOAC traderee. I have been hooked ever
since.
I collect West Virginia OA, West Virginia CSP / SAP's, and West Virginia and Ohio Conclaves. (See my need lists)

I am a retired science teacher from McDowell County Schools. I am a past President of the West Virginia Science Teacher's
Association. In 2008 I was named America's Top Science Teacher by Discovery Education.
I also enjoy Amateur "ham" radio. I hold an Extra Class license. My call is WV8ED. I can be found on www.qrz.com by looking up my call.
I am an Eagle Scout and a former member of the Executive Board of the Buckskin Council.
I am currently serving in the West Virginia House of Delegates,
